Parliament is home to a team of talented and diverse local makers who are joyfully invested in each other’s success.
Parliament the Boutique started as a shop and studio space for Littlewings Designs in 2013.
The Parliament dream began to quickly grow and evolve to include the work of Harbinger Leather Design and Adventure Textiles as well as other curated artists. In 2014, these three primary makers realized their collaborations and collective work were outgrowing their current individual studio spaces, and the result was Parliament the Studio. For two years, Parliament maintained a studio for creating its wares from its primary founders, and a storefront on the Division Avenue for the Arts to sell their goods. Then, in late 2016, an opportunity arose for Parliament to return to its combined studio/store beginnings, with enough space for production and selling, and where its clientele could watch the making action on site, in person. In February 2017, Parliament reopened in its new location, at 136 S Division Ave, where it is now a shop, studio, and classroom space that serves as a crossroads for makers and their community.
Parliament currently includes the work of Kate Lewis Ceramics, Forest Emporium, Bramble Woodworks, Runaway Press; as well as founders Adventure Textiles, Littlewings Designs and Harbinger Leather Design.
